White Lodge
I sit out under my old oak tree
Relaxing in the coolness of the shade.
Thinking back on all the places I've been
And the wonderful friends I have made.
I've traveled around this great country
But the place I most long to be.
Is a cottage known as White Lodge
That is nestled beside a distant sea.
I can hear my friends murmur softly
If I listen quietly with my heart.
They tell me they're waiting for my return
And wish me well while we are apart.
As I gaze up into the sky of blue
I long to soar with the clouds up above.
Floating with them back to White Lodge
My other home that is so filled with love.

Bracklesham Bay is a quaint little seaside village in West Sussex, southern England. Instead of numbers on the houses, every house has a name. Though many are similar, no two names are exactly the same. Of course White Lodge is our home and our favorite. We have spent many hours of enjoyment there, both inside and outside in the lovely garden watching all the birds and ducks that congregate around the ponds. It is what we call our little corner of Heaven.
