Whispers Across The Sea

I sent my whisper across the waters
To a little place down by the sea.
Hoping my dreams would touch you
And bring your soft whisper back to me.

My voice found you sitting there waiting
With a far-away look in your eyes.
As if staring at something only you could see
That appeared as a dream in the skies.

Could you see my image reach for you?
Did you hear my voice whisper low?
Telling you of my deepest hopes and dreams
And feelings that only you could know.

Those feelings still live within my soul
Dreams embedded deeply in my heart.
So I send my whispers to alight on your shore
While we remain so very far apart.

Have you ever felt when dreaming, that you have
sent your thoughts over vast distances? What an
amazing feeling to awaken and just know that
someone somewhere has heard your voice on the
wind and seen your image in their mind. This
feeling can remain with you for a very long time.
