We seem to have run into here
A total state of confusion.
For the tangled mess that we're in
We know is no illusion.

We tried to dance the two step
And fell into such a mess.
Hands and feet going all the wrong ways
And causing so much stress.

Now don't tell us that we're too old
To try such a lively dance.
Cos when we joined on the floor
We achieved a perfect stance.

It's only when we started to move
That things went so suddenly wrong.
Our feet couldn't get the hang of
The loud beat of the fast moving song.

It must have been the other folks
Who kept getting in our way.
We know just the right moves to make
We were so proud to say.

Maybe it was the fault of the band
Playing the music at the wrong speed.
But when we tried to tell them
Our kind words they wouldn't heed.

So here we are all tangled up
In the middle of the floor.
With everyone laughing and clapping
And yelling for more, more, more.
