Fly Tiny Bluebird

Today I saw a tiny bluebird
Sitting alone on the ground.
It looked so frightened and lonely
With no family or friends around.

I walked slowly up to it
And it showed no signs of fear.
As if it knew I wanted to help
And that was why I was here.

Then I knelt down beside it
And began to talk soft and low.
I told it the fear and loneliness
Were feelings that I surely did know.

I told it to spread it's little wings
If it really wanted to fly.
If it truly believed it could do it
It would soon soar free in the sky.

It turned its head as if listening
To all the things I had to say.
Then it fluttered as if to say thank you
And rose slowly in the air and flew away.

Many times if someone or something is in need of help,
just a little kindness can give them the edge they need to soar free.
Never turn away from those in need for it could be
you in that very position.
Allow you heart to be there for them.
