Through The Night
The hands of the clock are moving slowly
And morning will be here much too soon.
You're standing by the door and I whisper please stay
For I can't make it through the night on my own.
I've been through so many sad yesterdays
Never knowing what tomorrow will bring.
It's so hard to be standing here all alone
Hoping that the telephone will ring.
You have a yearning look in your eyes
And I know that you want to stay.
All I need is a friend to be with
Till I must face another lonely day.
So whisper you'll stay here with me
And help me make it through the night.
Then I won't be alone to face the sunshine
With the coming of dawn's early light.

Being all alone is so very hard.
Your heart aches for
a friend to just be with.
To make it through the days
and lonely nights.
Let your soul join in with others
around you and
never give up hope.
For hope and
faith is what will sustain you.
Peace comes to everyone
if we let it.
