The Clock Wouldn't Stop

If you should ever leave me
I'd have nothing left to live for.
I don't know what I would do
If I had to go back to the loneliness of before.

Should you ever walk out the door
I know the sun will still always follow rain.
Even though there's no living without your love
The clock would go on just the same.

If you were to ever say goodbye
I know each day would carry on as before.
But if you were no longer here by my side
There'd be nothing left in life to hope for.

I know the clock wouldn't stop
If you were to say goodbye to me now.
Life would still go on just the same
And I'd have to learn to get by somehow.
