I was sitting in front of my monitor
Checking what's listed on tv.
When I saw a flicker from the corner of my eye
And wondered what on earth could that be.

It bounced around just out of sight
But I didn't worry too much.
Perhaps it was just a flicker of light
And something I really couldn't touch.

Then once again I glimpsed it
Flitting around on the floor.
Twirling around and around my legs
Then flying from door to door.

Then letters started moving on the monitor
As the screen was covered with flaws
I screamed and yelled "get away from there"
Amazed at the trouble that thing could cause.

Then something landed heavily in my lap
And just about scared me flat.
Then I finally realized what that thing was
It was just Toby my cat.
