Raindrops

As raindrops fall into the sea
You watch them ebb and flow.
Around and around they circle
Then onward and outward they go.

Who knows where those ripples will go
Or on what distant shore they'll land.
Will someone standing at the water's edge
Reach to touch them with a wondering hand?

As the raindrops fall so softly on the water
They're felt in the warm misty air.
A golden rainbow shimmers on the ripples
Hinting of a new dawning day to share.

Standing on the edge of a far reaching shore
Someone reaches out with a questing hand.
Wondering if another is standing in the raindrops
Watching the ripples from a faraway land.

If you're standing on the shore and the rain is coming down softly, it can bring
a peace to your heart. Let your mind wander to other shores
and envision them in your soul. If you're not near an ocean,
simply let your thoughts take you there.
