Our Poppy

You can't buy loyalty, or so they say
But we bought it though, one October day.
You can't buy friendship, tried and true,
But in Poppy, we bought that too.

We paid the price right there on the spot
For the love and devotion we knew we had got.
The constant loyalty she gives to us all
Makes the price that we paid very small.

She gives her heart for all to share
The joy we've found with her is beyond compare.
In return we give her all of our love
For she is truly a blessing from up above.

In Poppy we found a trusting heart,
She gave us devotion right from the start.
If you think love and loyalty is not for sale,
Buy a labrador puppy with a wagging tail.
