I sit and wait to board the plane
It seems to take so long.
And my tears flow.
In my mind I see my friends waving goodby
As my soul hears a departing song.
And my tears flow.

I can't believe it's time to leave
It hurts so very much.
And my tears flow.
I'll miss the kindness they showed me
Along with a loving touch.
And my tears flow.

The happiness I found there
Will be forever with me.
And my tears flow.
But I know that someday I'll return
For it's where I want to be.
Still my tears flow.

Now they're calling out for boarding
Soon I'll be on the plane.
And my tears flow.
I'll be heading toward my homeland
With a heart that's filled with pain.
And yes, my tears flow.
