Where Are You, My Lonely Heart

Where are you my lonely heart?
Are you somewhere far away?
Do you travel over many distant miles
To meet the light of a new day?

Where do you go in your wanderings?
What is it that you're searching for?
Do you search for other lonely hearts?
Or happiness on some distant shore?

The sun will always be shining
Whether here or very far away.
So follow your dreams wherever they lead
Fly on to a brighter peaceful day.

Then bring your hopes and dreams here
To a place where you can make a new start.
Let happiness enter your soul again
And wander no more, my lonely heart.

Perhaps at some point in everyone's life, their heart
goes on a journey, seeking what they need to find.
Even if it's only an impossible dream.
Those who do find what they are searching for are
very lucky indeed. The others should never give up
that journey or their hope, for who knows what
might be waiting just around the next
bend in life's road.
