River Deep, Mountain High

As we look up to the highest mountain
Sending our voices out into the blue.
We stand at the edge of the river so deep
Calling out with our love ever true.

We've traveled the vast open prairies
Walked the sands of the wide ocean's shore.
Looking but never finding
The meaning that we've been searching for.

Our souls has been wandering helpless
Two hearts living in sad emptiness.
Crying for release from our lonely lives
Yearning for true happiness.

Then our souls reached out from the distance
Our hearts merged and our voices rang clear.
We knew we had found our destiny
And everything we hold so dear.

Now our future is calling out to us
To climb to the peaks standing so fair.
We'll sing out our feelings together
Pledging our love in the crisp mountain air.

Not everyone is lucky enough to find the true love of their life.
Those who do shine forth with a light that glows over the
highest mountain and the deepest river.
