Memories

I've seen the New Forest ponies
And Chincoteague Island horses too.
I've heard English robins singing
Seen American eagles soaring in the blue.

Two countries I have traveled and loved deeply
Enjoying Earth's beauty and so very much more.
My friends and I listened to waves rolling in
While standing on that far distant shore.

The places we've been and things we have seen
Have touched our hearts in ways never told.
As we think back on our journeys we know
These precious memories we'll forever hold.

Now we look forard to the Christmas season
When we will once again be together.
Sharing the love we have in our hearts
And new memories that will last forever.

Memories can bring so much pleasure and
perhaps sometimes pain to our hearts.
If we remember the good times and let the bad ones
just fade away, what a blessing that will be.
No human alive is without memories for that
is a part of our very existence.
Cherish your memories for they are
who you are.
