Lost In Thought

The traffic was fairly heavy
On our way to London town.
The sky was dark and dreary
And the rain was pouring down.

We were each lost in our thoughts
Of the time we had spent together.
The happiness shared between best friends
Which will be in our hearts forever.

We thought back to our good times
And the loneliness which lies in store.
When again we'll be separated by miles
Till we join in reunion once more.

Our thoughts are heavy as we travel on
Through the cold pouring rain.
Yet we know that sometime in the future
We'll be happy together once again.

At times we can become lost deep in thought of times past
and what the future will bring.
To remember with happiness the good times and know that
those moments will come again can do much
to ease an aching heart. Cherish those memories
for they are a part of your soul.
