I'd Like to See

I'd like to see a world at peace
With happiness every where.
No bitterness found in any hearts
And only love to share.

Just once I'd like to see the world
Holding hands in harmony.
Lifting their voices together
Singing out for you and for me.

I'd like to see families stay together
With no anger found in any heart.
No harsh words to fall on anguished souls
To tear their lives apart.

I'd like to see children playing
Wearing smiles and no reason for fears.
This world would be a much happier place
Joined together with never again tears.

How wonderful it would be if the whole world united in peace and love.
With all peoples letting their neighbors live as their lives dictate
with no hatred found in any place.
That is an ideal scenario and has never been found, but we can all
pray for peace and work towards that goal.
