Laughing

I'm wearing a big old sneaky grin
'Cause I'm standing here laughing at you.
Then I turn around and realize
You're laughing at me too.

Surely not I hastily replied
With a cheeky grin on my face.
I would never laugh at you
And to laugh at me is a disgrace.

What I'm actually doing is
Exercising my tongue
They tell me plenty of laughter
Keeps you forever young.

So when you next see me laughing at you
Because of something you've said.
Remember it's not really me at all
But the wicked humour that lives in my head.

Now I'm sure you have an equal excuse
For finding my antics amusing.
Perhaps you'd like to explain to me
Because I'm finding it all rather confusing.

So I say to you don't be confused
For it's all part of us don't you see?
So I will keep on laughing at you
And you can keep on laughing at me.

Then we look at each other and understand
That laughter makes two into one.
So we'll keep on grinning and joking around
Why worry for it's all part of our fun.

Laughter is the best medicine in the world no matter what
walk of life we come from.
Be we rich and famous or humble and poor...laughter brings a
breath of fresh air to our very soul..
Blessed are those of us who share a friendship where we
are able to laugh at each other as well as
with each other.

Betty and Kaye

True friends are never apart, maybe in distance,
but not in heart.
