This I've Known

Ocean waves rolling in
Splashing on the shore
Seagulls gliding on the wind
All this I've known before.

Sunshine bright and beaming
Seashells in the sand
Salt water moist and gleaming
On the sunlight in my hand

Little seabirds playing
In the waves and on the shore
Seaoats gently swaying
To the rythm and the roar

Happiness the ocean brings
In its quest for life and more
I remember and my heart sings
All this I've known before.

The ocean can bring many different feelings to each of us.
There can be peace and tranquillity even in its darkest, stormy days.
To those of us born near its shores, the pull of the waters
remain ever in our souls.
