The morning sun is peeping down on us
Sparkling on the open window pane.
You're lying there sleepily beside me
And I turn and gaze at you again.

I realize now how lucky I am
As we go through each glorious day.
And I can now proudly tell you
I'm the happiest girl in the whole usa.

I tell you now wake up you sleepy head
Don't you know it's coming on nine?
You give me a big hug and I know
We'll start off this day just fine.

We'll meet together in the kitchen
Where I'll be making our morning pancakes.
Perhaps if you're not too much of a sleepy head
You could prepare the usual cornflakes.

We'll ponder over the morning papers
As we plan how to spend our day.
It's because of you I carry a song in my heart
I'm the happiest girl in the whole USA
