Saying Goodbye

I boarded that big jumbo plane
And then we soared on high.
My tears were falling, for the hardest thing
Was telling my friends goodbye.

They had welcomed me into their home
And made me part of their family.
I knew deep in my heart and soul
That was where I'd always want to be.

Now I'm headed for my little home
Only emptiness will greet me there.
There's no one to join me in laughter
And show me how much they care.

But I know that I'll return once more
To my other home far away.
And now my heart is full of thankfulness
For the love shown when I arrived that special day.

Once someone touches your heart
the fingerprints last forever

Oh what a heartache it is to say goodbye to beloved friends.
You feel as if you're leaving a part of your soul.
But you know that it will be cherished and the ties of love
will hold fast until the day when you can
at last return. .

Betty

How hard it is to say goodbye to a special friend,
especially when you have enjoyed each others company so much.
I know we are blessed to have found each other
and I look forward to a future of many visits.
The next one will be in August to celebrate
together our joint birthday

Thank you Bett
for the joy & laughter you bring into my life .

Kaye
