Friends Indeed
Animals are so wonderful
They'll always be your friend
They give you faith and loyalty
And love that knows no end.
The fluffy little puppy dog
The kitten in your hand
The tiny little ladybug
The turtle in the sand.
The bunny soft and silky
The hamster in the wheel
The birds up in the treetop
The cow out in the field
They'll always be there for you
Just look around and see
A friend in need, a friend indeed
That's what they'll always be.

I've always loved animals for they are truly a blessing and our innocent friends. They ask so little, yet give so much. I wrote this poem while sitting out in the middle of a field in early spring and just watching so many of this big world's marvels. Take some time to sit out in a meadow, walk in the park or just stroll by the ocean. If you watch closely, you will see many wonders of this big beautiful world of ours.
