Early Morning Rain
The crystal drops fell so softly
Against the window pane.
And this lady felt forgotten
In the early morning rain.
The years passed so swiftly
No one seemed to care.
And this lady felt forgotten
With no dreams left to share.
The empty days brought no relief
From a life that had gone so sour.
And this lady felt forgotten
With each empty, passing hour.
She smiled to hide the loneliness
And the never-ending pain.
But this lady felt forgotten
In the early morning rain.
Then she whispered, "Lord, please grant me,
One thing while I still live."
"Send me someone to share my love,
For I have so much to give."
"Someone who will love me fully,
And help ease my heart of pain."
"Then this lady won't feel forgotten,
In the early morning rain."
Then one day her prayers were answered
Someone was there to ease her pain.
Now this Lady no longer feels forgotten
In the early morning rain.

Sometimes, as the years pass by and the days become more lonely,
a person can feel so totally forgotten. Lost in the passage of time.
But if we keep hope alive in our hearts, those lonely times can be
overcome and new love can enter our hearts, filling our souls with
happiness. Never give up. For to give up is to lose all hope.
