Dreams Come True

I feel the plane's speed slowing
As the lights appear from below.
Soon the wheels are touching down
And my spirit suddenly begins to glow.

My friend is waiting impatiently
Eager to see me walk through the door
She welcomes me with arms opened wide
This is the moment we've both waited for.

Our smiles beam as we drive through the country
Heading for the place she calls home.
Her family greets me with love in their hearts
And make plans for the places we'll roam.

We laugh and talk together for hours
Till jet lag starts to take it's toll on me.
Tonight we'll all sleep in happiness
For this is how we've wanted it to be.

Tomorrow we'll begin our journey
Touring through this beautiful land.
Making the most of our short time together
And remaining always hand in hand.

Sometimes when we have a dream in our hearts
and believe in them strong enough, they do come true.
If in your mind you have travelled to a far distant place
you have been longing to see, and your dreams are taking
you there, a strong belief can make it happen.
