Candle In The Window

There's a candle in the window
Shining brightly there for me.
Guiding me forward as I travel
Back to the place where I long to be.

In my mind I can see the flicker
Of the candle burning so bright.
It brings me joy as I go onward
And comforts me during my long flight.

My friends are waiting by that beacon
To greet me when at last I arrive.
They'll wrap me into the warmth of their love
And I'll join in all the plans they derive.

So in just a few hours longer
I'll be in my home across the sea.
Now I'll focus on the candle in the window
Placed there to shine brightly for me.

Candle In Our Window

There's a candle in our window
And it is shining just for you.
There to guide you through the night
With the flame of friendship ever true.

That candle will continue to glow brightly
Until your journey is at an end.
It will continue to flicker in the window
As a guiding light for you, our friend.

That long journey will soon be at an end
And you will be home once more by the sea.
Bracklesham Bay is where you belong
With two precious dogs, Roy, Simon and me.

We will be there to greet you
As you descend from the dark skies above.
Waiting to take you in our arms
And enfold you in the warmth of our love.

When you're on a long trip and feeling restless,
it is so good to have something in your mind to comfort you.
How wonderful it is if you're returning to a home
and family where love abounds.
Where you know you are loved for just being you.
