A Place Called Home
I travelled extensively most of my life
Over many miles did I roam.
Searching but never finding
The one place that I could call home.
Then a stranger reached out to me
Over thousands of miles her words to send.
I knew in that very first contact
I had at last found a forever friend.
We shared laughter and joy for a long time
And our closeness grew stronger each day.
We wanted so much to meet eye to eye
But we were each so very far away.
Then at last our dreams were realized
Never again searching must I roam.
For I'm in the country of my forever friend
In the one place that I can call home.

Everyone has a special place they call home.
It may be right where you've always been,
or very far away, but it has a place in your
heart. If it is far away, to be able to go there
can fulfill your deepest dreams.
