Little Altar Boy

Little Altar Boy, I hear you so clearly
As I watch from a few steps away
I see you look upward towards heaven
And I hear your gentle voice pray.

Could you please tell our Dear Lord
That I have sinned for so long.
But tell him with his help and guidance
I know I could again be strong.

Would you ask him what I need to do
For him to take my sins away
Ask him if he will enfold me in his love
And guide me to a better way

So lift your voice in loving prayer
To help bring this sinner joy.
For I've now seen the error of my ways
And I thank you, Little Altar Boy.

Sometimes a song can inspire a heart or thoughts
and bring forth beauty in words. This song did
exactly that for us. We can picture in
our minds the plea given to this
Little Altar Boy. We hope this poem will
